Warhammer: The Final Push

A game which simply wasn’t meant to be, Warhammer Online is now struck by more bad news.

EA apparently fired about 80 Mythic employees, which is 40% of the staff. This more or less means the devs are now giving up on the game as well, so don’t expect too much new content in the future. A majority of Warhammer subscribers are either terribly bored with existing content now, or have already started playing other games, most likely Aion. No doubt the recent release of this PvP-focused game took a big chunk of War’s customers.

It’s now pretty clear Warhammer is going down for good; if it survives another year it will be a miracle. The rest of the studio will probably start working on some other project, and Warhammer Offline will go down in history as one of the most disappointing MMOs.
