Modern Warfare 2: Fastest Selling Game

There’s a lot of hype around Modern Warfare 2 last few days and apparently there’s no end. Many players are disappointed with single player experience, and rightfully so since it lasts for about 5 hours. The game received great reviews on various websites, while the users are consistently giving it a 1/10 score, but that didn’t slow down the sales one bit.

According to early reports, just in the first 24 hours after release over 7 million copies were sold worldwide. Only about 12% of all sales were for PC: PS3 sold 33% and Xbox 360 55% of sales. There were more than 4.5 million copies pre-ordered.

If predictions are at least a bit accurate, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will sell over 10 million copies in the first week and take the title as the fastest selling video game from last year’s Grand Theft Auto 4.
